Kahayag is a multidisciplinary artist, grassroots agrarian organizer, and birth doula whose work explores the intersections of spirit, tradition, feminine power, and geopolitical forces. Rooted in the landscapes of Indonesia—specifically Jawa Barat and Bali—her practice is informed by both the complexity of diasporic identity and the tension between modernity and ancestral knowledge. Kahayag’s art is the material debris of their lived experience and self study in the realms of soul, ecological and cultural identity, and the socio-political currents that shape her relationship to existence and land. Her work spans photography, installation, film, and the art of everyday life.
