teo octavia saragi (they/them) is a multimedia artist, creative storyteller, and community healer. teo loves imagining, dreaming, and talking about ancestry & lineage, ethnic studies, and documentary film & art-making. rooted in personal histories and social movement legacies, teo believes it is necessary to build cultural power through artistic practices and visual communications to uplift the voices of queer and trans people of color, communities impacted by systems of incarceration and deportation, low-income & working-class communities, and youth of color constructing liberatory futures grounded in healing. teo identifies as indigenous Batak Indonesian, disabled and queer.
